SUMMER SONIC celebrates its landmark 25th anniversary with the announcement of the first lineup.

Headlining the festival for the very first time are THE STROKES, the band that has defined 21st-century rock since their explosive debut, and L’Arc-en-Ciel, Japan’s iconic rock band celebrating their 35th anniversary. Both artists will make their long-awaited debut as SUMMER SONIC headliners.

Also joining the lineup are the charismatic JAMIROQUAI, renowned for countless hits and an unmistakable groove. JENNIE, a global superstar both as a solo artist and as a member of BLACKPINK, will also appear. Legendary innovator DAVID BYRNE, who revolutionized the art form of music through works such as Stop Making Sense and American Utopia, will finally make his long-awaited appearance at SUMMER SONIC.

The festival will also welcome rising singer-songwriter ALEX WARREN, who shot to stardom via TikTok, and endlessly captivating multi-creator FKA TWIGS. UK rock giants KASABIAN, known for their explosive anthems, will take the stage alongside Vietnamese-American producer and multi-instrumentalist KESHI. LE SSERAFIM will dazzle audiences worldwide with their dynamic live performances, while globally acclaimed a cappella group PENTATONIX joins the lineup as well. Japan’s one-of-a-kind band sakanaction, who continue to redefine the concept of a band, will appear together with neo-soul prodigy STEVE LACY. Suchmos, whose presence continues to grow stronger following their restart, will perform at the Tokyo show only. Britpop legends SUEDE will also grace the stage. The lineup further includes breakout star AUDREY NUNA, who gained widespread attention with KPOP Girls! Demon Hunters, and Australian R&B singer BOY SODA. Irish newcomers CARDINALS, blending shoegaze, punk, and Irish traditional music, will make their SUMMER SONIC debut. Malaysia-born, London-based next-generation pop artist CHLOE QISHA joins internationally acclaimed creative artist Cornelius. Florida-born rising R&B talent DESTIN CONRAD and Irish rock band FLORENCE ROAD are also set to perform, along with new-generation indie pop duo GOOD NEIGHBOURS. Alternative rock band Hitsujibungaku, who continue to expand their global reach through successful overseas tours, will appear alongside singer-songwriter Tatsuya Kitani, praised for his unique lyrical world and vocals. KODALINE will deliver their final live performance in Japan following their announcement of disbandment. PENDULUM, reigning supreme over the UK rock and club scenes with overwhelming sound and energy, will also take the stage. Melbourne indie rockers PRETTY BLEAK, promising R&B newcomer SEKOU, and ZEBRAHEAD, who set a new record for the most appearances by an overseas artist at SUMMER SONIC, are guaranteed to ignite the crowd.
